Since 1989, the Milken Family Foundation has awarded more than 200 outstanding graduating high school students with a commitment for four years of financial assistance, career-related counseling and internships, opportunities for volunteerism and a graduate fund to assist with preparatory courses for either graduate school or the world of work. Milken Scholars are chosen through a rigorous selection process that includes students from a variety of professions, cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds in New York, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
