Mike joined Lynn Goldman, dean of the School of Public Health at George Washington University (GW), to discuss challenges in public health, including the obesity epidemic in the U.S., the surprisingly high cost to the American economy of chronic diseases, and identifying and implementing lifestyle changes that address the growing number of chronic diseases diagnoses. Mike also reminded the GW alumni that continued funding of medical research is crucial to extending lives, accelerating medical research and generating good-paying jobs.
