Mike led a plenary discussion on the Atlanta campus of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention focused on creating greater collaboration between industry, universities, philanthropists and foundations, and government. He was joined (left to right) by Trevor Mundel, president of the Gates Foundation's Global Health Program; Freda Lewis-Hall, chief medical officer at Pfizer; CDC Director Tom Frieden; Judith Rodin, president of The Rockefeller Foundation; and Carmen Puliafito, dean of the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. The panel was part of a day-long Summit on Public Health hosted by the Milken Institute and the CDC Foundation.
