In March 2014, the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University was renamed in recognition of a gift from the Institute: the Institute contributed $40 million to support new and ongoing research and scholarships; the Milken Family Foundation contributed $10 million to support the Milken Institute School dean’s office, including a newly created public health scholarship program; and the Sumner M. Redstone Charitable Foundation contributed $30 million to create the Sumner M. Redstone Global Center for Prevention and Wellness.
