Mike was joined by Senator Patty Murray (far right) to present a Milken Educator Award to Nathan Gibbs-Bowling, a Tacoma, Washington, high-school social studies teacher. Gibbs-Bowling teaches Advanced Placement classes, leads a seminar for graduating seniors on successful college applications, and has been a leader in curriculum development and teacher mentoring. The Milken Family Foundation has awarded thousands of Educator Awards to public-school educators like Gibbs-Bowling across America; each award includes a $25,000 check and an invitation to the annual Milken Educator Forum.
